Reminder: If you elect the Kansas Senior Plan C and do not take Prescription Drug coverage under the State plan, and do not enroll in a Part D prescription drug coverage from the private market, you will not be allowed to re-enroll in the State's Part D Prescription Drug Coverage. When making your health plan choices, direct bill members should always consider present health conditions and the financial status of all individuals to be covered under the chosen plan. Direct bill members and their dependents generally fall into two categories: Medicare eligible and non-Medicare eligible.
All direct bill members and their dependents, regardless of Medicare eligibility, may choose between traditional health plans such as Plan A and Plan B. Both of these plans have the same prescription drug coverage offered to Direct Bill members.
Individuals who are Medicare eligible may be able to save money on premiums and/or out-of-pocket costs if they choose one of the State of Kansas' direct bill offerings specifically designed to work with Medicare such as Kansas Senior Plan C, the Coventry Advantra Freedom plan or the Humana Group Medicare plan.
